I need to know all the latest developments (not currently under-development) in the Linux/Open-Source field including new versions of software like GNome or KDE or even Codecs (for ex: X.Org 1.5) and even the release of new (popular) distros. Even news that could be considered important to OSS as a whole would be fine, though it is easier to track Linux/OSS news.
If there are significant number of developments since July (1st) 2008, I might do a report on them for school.
