View Full Version : [ubuntu] recordmydesktop codec problems on playback

Evening folks.

I installed this app along with the GUI interface for it. That all worked great. I did a sample record on my desktop and saved it. When I played the ogg file, the video was hardly viewable because of a lot of pixelated color bar interference. What I mean by that is the whole screen was covered with moving colors bars and at times I could see what I had recorded, but I would say 90% of the time, it was unviewable.

Is anyone aware of any codecs that are needed or any other apps that I should install with it? OR, if there is a better/different program to do this? I'll post a screeny of my output once I boot back into OS.

TIA! Appreciate it!
