I have an older laptop that is not capable of booting from CD or USB; only from its external diskette drive or internal hard drive. It is formatted FAT and running only DOS 7. I have installed the necessary drivers and can access its external PCMCIA CD drive via command line.
The CD drive can read the contents of the Xubuntu "Alternate Install" CD, but when I attempt to switch to any of its directories, I get an "Invalid Directory" error.
How can I install Xubuntu on this PC? Thanks.
