hardy does not boot up from hard drive

hello:

I had constant problems with hardy. I think I have zeroed on bad memory. I have replaced the memory and the system was running fine, till i shut it down. Now th system will just will not boot up from hard drive. it just sits there , no messages , nothing

I was able to use th ubuntu cd and then I when chose boot form first hard drive it did boot from the hard drive.

how do i fis the boot process so i can boot normally from the hard drive?

Could be a grub problem. I would download super grub disk (http://supergrubdisk.org) and reinstall grub.
