You'll have to update the firmware, but that isn't so bad. I have an 8GB player, and it is nice. Small, light, great battery life, FM radio and voice recording are excellent. With this update to allow OGG and FLAC audio, it seems open source advocates finally have a major music player company to look to for their needs.

Seriously, this player is NICE. Thin, shiny, easy to use, cross platform. the 8GB version was $150 total, including tax and a 2 year warranty at Best Buy.

Great News. If I have to buy a PMP next time, it'll be Sandisk.

Great news. I have a Sansdisk Sansa e280, which is similar to the Fuze. Sandisk worked with the Rockbox devs to make sure Rockbox would work on their players, which is a great thing. Seriously sticking with these guys if they are continuing to support free software like this.

Shame most people will still want to stick with iPods, because they cant get over the fact that the games arent as good or they dont look as nice, despite the Sandisk players almost always being superior products in most ways.
