Hi there,

I have been playing dvd-s with totem/kaffeine with no problem until I rented the movie "Letherheards". Neither of the programs can play it; both crash. Meanwhile windows (with HP's Quickcam program) plays it with no program in the same laptop (dual-boot).

I have 'libdvdcss2' and 'libdvdread3' installed.

Any suggestions, may it have to do with a new kind of encryption?

Thanks in advance.

Jorge

go here, download and install install the new libdvdnav4
http://packages.ubuntu.com/intrepid/libdvdnav4

Don't remove your current version, you should get an option to dl to desktop or use Gdebi, pick Gdebi. if not then just d. click the .deb on your desktop and then use gbebi

You should be able to play then it then, if not then you can't (personally only seen one title that couldn't so far

(works just fine in hardy (8.04

Leatherheads appears to to unplayable in linux, though i did manage to get it to playback once by opening vlc from the terminal and opening the disk from there.
After that it any more attempts crash the player.
From same studio (universal) that had the other unplayable title
