installation problem

Hi

I am getting a I/O read error on the installation at 55% of Linux read.

This is the third download ive done and third cd ive burnt. i just want to ask for an opinion on what is the problem, is it my cdrom drive? my download? the burnt cd? or just problems with the hardware.

any help would be cool.

Hi and welcome, have you checked the cd for errors at the start and install page? You may also want to do a checksum on the iso
