Hi all,
I've tried installing amd64 hardy on a gigabit sli mb, e2140 and 8600gt box several times from multiple copies and it always kicks me into live cd before it finishes installing grub. Thus resulting in a VFS kernel panic during boot. Because of this I went back to debian. Is this a known issue? Should I (if I want to switch) wait for intrepid? ... I really wonder how I installed it in the first place. Oh yeah, there were numerous times I just got busybox instead of even the live cd.
EDIT: I did check the cd from the menu for the first copy, didn't check the one I burnt yesterday. I'll try the OEM install when I get home.
