I can't rip any ordinary dvds. In dvd::rip I click on the "RIP seleted title/s or chapter/s" button and it finishes in 4 seconds. I looked in its folder and it gives me a empty text file.

I have ripped a home video on to my computer. It had no encryption. So I know I have install all of the dependencies.

This page (https://help.ubuntu.com/community/DVD::Rip) said to install libdvdread3, debhelper, and fakeroot, but that did not work.

I attached the log file.

Could someone help me with this?

Did you run this command?
sudo /usr/share/doc/libdvdread3/examples/install-css.sh

Ripping encrypted DVDs violates the Ubuntu code of conduct #6.
