View Full Version : [ubuntu] Tripleboot on x86

Hi all ubunteers!

I want to make my system tripleboot Ubuntu + Windows XP + OSX Leopard.

I found this: Definitive Triple Boot Guide (Mac OS X, Windows XP, Ubuntu 7.10) (http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=454322), but this is for mac systems and I happen to have an x86 system (IBM Thinkpad).

So... what will help? Gguides, reads, links ... please.

BTW: I have just been suffering from HFS+ errors in OS X, fixed that somehow, but OS X and XP both won't boot anymore so I'm trying to put Ubuntu on top to come and rescue the others (fingers crossed).

Ehm... I hope this thing called GRUB can help me 'cause the OS X bootloader and Acronis OS Selector are both letting me down.

Thanks for your attention and help!

Bye, cheers,

p.s. I just received the following error from Ubuntu: Executing 'grub-install (hd0) failed. This is a fatal error. :(

Do you have a mac? Unless you do, it is illegal to install OSX.
