Got the new ubuntu dist, and it didn't set up the network strange, took a closer look, nics up, set with ip address. So Threw the laptop with previous dist on it and it didn't work either is set up for broadband. Tried pinging each machine and they both pass the router to each other but.. the router gateway can't be pinged or passed and it won't ping back to either machine from inside, how can I ping across or through the router if the gateways closed, stumped
useing d-link ebr 2310 rev B, winxp works why oh why ?
