Just curious how the various netbooks books rank up.

1. Best response times.
2. Best keyboard.
3. Best display.
4. Best "extra" features (number of USB ports, etc)
5. Easiest to carry around.
6. Best battery life.
7. Best base OS.
8. Best appearance.
9. Most rugged.

Thanks!

maybe you should just google "netbook reviews" and make up your own mind. alot of these things are subjective. i love my low end eeepc, but others might despise it.

NOne of the netbook reviews compare the various netbooks. And I was hoping someone who may have actually used more than one would give their opinion. But hey, at least you got to be snarky.

This should give a lot of information: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comparison_of_netbooks

I ordered the Dell Inspiron 910, but I obviously didn't get it yet. It comes with Ubuntu.

I had it open recently :-)

Also note you can sort by the various fields, so you can get a quick comparison.

If System76 ever starts making netbooks, I would consider it but I probably won't need that if the Pandora I ordered is as good as it suggests. I don't care too much for embedded or mobile x86 anyway, such a shameful waste of battery power.

Since the eeepc came out, the manufacturers of sub-notebooks have increased vastly the storage on the things. My 4GB 701 was pretty well specified back then... now, the 4GB SSD is a joke! I'm using a 4GB SDHC too, but even 8GB is nothing compared to the storage the more recent sub-notebooks boast. But I don't care - my lil eeepc runs ubuntu 8.04.1 with fancy desktop effects and all... my Dream Silver Machine... (except it's pearly white, not silver...)
