Hey,

I'm having a problem with my webcam. I have a USB Logitech Quickcam Deluxe for Notebooks, and am trying to use it with Skype 2.0.0.72.

Users that I connect to with the webcam can hear a constant clicking and popping noise on the other side. As far as I can tell, it is being generated by me.

Does anybody have any suggestions about how to remedy this issue?

Thanks,
Chris

Long-standing bug (https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux-meta/+bug/151890).

Thanks for pointing that out.

I just installed Ubuntu 8.10 Beta, and the problem persists. Shouldn't the 2.6.27 kernel have the gspca driver in it? I was hoping that would fix it...
