In honor of their 10th birthday, Google have let people search the database from 2001. No Ubuntu, no Wii, no Digg, it's madness!

EDIT: It's unnerving searching for "world trade center"...

Interesting.

I searched for "LaRoza", and found nothing that I am used to finding and searching my real name brought up no results at all, it brings up two now.

I searched for my real name and found two entries, both for me. On the most recent database, there were something like 385 (but that includes some other people with the same name (even though it's not too common where I live)

Edit: Ubuntu is there, but no sign of the forum or distro we've grown to love.

The World Trade Center page was surreal, it wasn't that long ago the world was a very different place.

I typed in silver prices and came up with this gem "Silver prices reached a cyclical low of $4.88 purchase domestically mined silver at $0.90". $4.88 a ounce! Now you are lucky if you can find a Morgan Silver Dollar for under $20.

Or this gem from the Financial Express
"London gold fixed at $295.75 a troy ounce in the morning, down on Friday
afternoon's $296.15. Spot prices were last wandering at $295.55/$296.05"

Oops time to defrag the Windows 2000 .... lol

I did another search using one of the many email addresses I've used over the years (the person with the most email addresses wins, right?) and for some reason it came back with one entry which told me I'd been a member of one particular mailing list since 2007. Spooky.

This thing is bizzare... I can't believe that Google is just 10 years old. LOL I didn't even have a computer at home back then.

Your search - ubuntu linux distro - did not match any documents.

Suggestions:
Make sure all words are spelled correctly.
Try different keywords.
Try more general keywords.
Try fewer keywords.

Thanks for posting this. This reminds me of all the nostalgia of highschool and earning money for my first PPC Mac. Those were the days...

We had iPod, but it was JUST released. I bought it and forgot that iPods only were compatable with Mac OS 9 and OS X.
