im using ubuntu 8.04 on a HP laptop.
i have the zalman zm-rssc card (appears as USB AUDIO) and i cant get ac3/dts passtrough to my receiver. please HELP!

the guide didn't help. all the links in the guide describe how to use the SPDIF or IEC958 of the sound card's mixer but i have none of them.
the only thing i have is PCM and tht's it even though it supports SPDIF and in win XP it works.
is there a way to send AC3 as PCM? it is a trick i use in XP to make it work...
