Hello, this is my first linux experience. I bought a brand new harddrive and downloaded the cd for ubuntu for athlon64. i tried the demo from the cd and then i tried installing it. Everything seemed to go fine but the bootup gets stuck at "Verifying DMI Pool Data". I'm not sure if I was supposed to do something to the hard drive before installing an OS on it? Also, my windows boot works but i can no longer view the hard drives...i messed around with a jumper in an attempt to fix things but i put everything back the way it was...any ideas?
