View Full Version : [all variants] Lexmark Z32 works, but output looks weird...

I've read and re-read tons of posts regarding the Lexmark printer battle. Using the foomatic lxm3200-tweaked driver, I have my Lexmark Z32 working. It has a couple of issues, though, that I'm tearing my hair out to solve. Most vitally, every few lines, the characters are misaligned. Not unreadable, but screwed up enough that I can't use it for anything other than my own reading (I'm a writer--this is important!). How in the world do I make sense of the alignment values I can find with a little digging? You know, stuff like, alignment a=16, vertical align=12. How do I translate this to knowing how to nudge the print over every few lines? Madness, I tell you!

And besides that, the Z32 gives me the dreaded flashing lights I've read other posts about. Every page or so, the thing stops printing to flash. I hit the feed button, and it usually (not always) returns to printing.

Can you point me in the right direction? I hope so!!

thanks!
