Most Americans don't seem to care much about what peoples of other nations think, but I do, and I decided to write a paper on it.
This is not political in nature, I don't intend to tick people off, I just want to know:
If you are living somewhere that is not a territory of the United States, or have very recently started to live here:
What were your thoughts/ideas/images/associations when you thought of or heard about the United States?
If you have recently moved here, how does the reality compare with your idealized ideas of it?
I'm writing a college paper on this, so please be serious and thorough. (The exception is if you thought "America" as funny.)
Thank you very much for your input!
