Hardy doesn't recognize my video adapter

I'm trying to install Hardy Heron on my Asus M2NPV-VM with the nVidia GeForce 6150 chipset.

At first, I see the Ubuntu logo ,etc, but when I start the boot it displays vertical stripes on my monitor. What can I do to get it to recognize my video adapter?

Solution, press F4 during boot up to select the "safe graphics mode" option.
