Here's my setup:
one 320GB seagate with three partitions (210GB Vista x64, 30GB music, and the rest is Ubuntu)
one 160 WD just one partition for storage

I had Vista installed first, then Ubuntu. Grub worked fine, and it has the option for Vista/Longhorn and Ubuntu. I can boot into Vista just fine, but if I choose Ubuntu, nothing happens. It tries to load and the bar goes back and forth across the screen for about 4 minutes, then it just brings me to an error type screen which I can't type in. Does anyone know what went wrong?

I can't get into Ubuntu, that's my problem. When I try to load it, it just doesn't do anything.

Boot your Live CD. Or is it that you cannot boot your Live CD?.
If so; try the Alternate CD.

None of my live CDs will boot. I have three different ones and I know they work because I have used them since last month. I used this guide:
