I'm brand new to these forums, so forgive me for any lack of vital information.

I have an older Shuttle (800Mhz, i486, I think) that I'm trying to install Ubuntu on. I downloaded the i386 version, put it on a cd, and tried to boot from it. It goes to the initial screen (where you can choose to try it, install it, etc), I highlight "install ubuntu", press enter, and it goes to the screen w/ the orange bar that slides back and forth. Then it goes to initramfs, and I have no idea how to fix it. I've tried properly shutting down from windows 2000, forcing the comp to start up from the CD (i used BIOS to do this). Please help me, and if you need any more information, I can provide it.
