I want to build a system in Ubuntu , which will make people say Wow when the see it.
I have Compiz cube and mouse over MP3 support, any more cool ideas?

Some other compiz effect are really cool.
Wobbly windows, animations (magic lamp, vacuum, burn, explode, dodge effect), ring switch, shift switcher, snow, expo....

It's not that bad...
And I think having a newer compiz with 3d windows & cube deformation into either a cylinder or a sphere would be quick to impress.

Kiba Dock, enable some of the cool effects in Kiba Dock.
The water effect in Compiz seems to be a good wow effect.

I saw a compiz of sharks in a tank... is that what you're talking about? That was pretty sweet.

Well everyone has their own likings for docks.
I like cario for the simplicity and the advanced configeration all in one.
Then I also like Kiba-Dock even though you have to either complie it from source or get 5 separate things from getdeb.net and install them.
After the install of it,it has anything you need, looks great, and just works.
