"As far as I know the Longman dictionaries of contemporary and of American English are currently the only ones with CDs that support Mac OS and Linux. As several others have pointed out, the content is excellent."

"Mac and Linux users only have one choice of installation—the ‘Recommended’ installation. This means that all headword pronunciations have been copied to your computer and can play without CD 1 or 2 in the CD-ROM drive of your computer."

Hey guys,

I've been trying to install the ldoce version several times now, it just doesnt start after I installed it. There are no installation errors. It just doesnt start!

When I try to start it manually i get the following error:

./ldoce4-bin: error while loading shared libraries: libgtk-1.2.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

Any of you guys know what to do?
Thanks in advance!

It looks like it's trying to find GTK 1.2
Do you have that?
