Hi,
I installed Xubuntu on my Dell latitude c800 with 256Mb ram and 20 GB HD.
After install the screen is divided in 3 parts (background) and nothing is visible. Only on the left bottom I see a restart and shut down icon.
There is something wrong with the screen driver for sure but I can't do or install anything because I see nothing on the screen.

And after 4 days nobody knows an answer to this question. My opensource experience was one of a short term.
