Im reading various how to's on installing new themes.
A lot of the docs mention gnome-theme-manager but its not installed on my 8.04 system, and doesnt appear to be in the repo.
Has this been superseded, or am I missing something?
Thanks

u can launch the app by typing gnome-appearance-properties in Run dialog or terminal!
or right click on the desktop and click on change background, u will get a window with different tabs like background, appearances etc. click on Appearances tab, there u can install the themes as usual. Or u will find it in the Main Menu, under Places->Appearance.
hope that helps!
