MythTV and XawTV do not work

TVTime works fine. The only problem is that tvtime does not record. What is the problem and how can I fix it.:confused:

Be more specific, what is your tuner, setup in mythtv etc.

Somehow I managed to get XawTV to work. All I know about the TV tuner card is that it is a IOMagic PVR. I think it is a bttv28xx type with a Phillips tuner.
