I thought we were getting a new theme this release? complete re-theme from head to toe which was ment to happen with Hardy but got push to ibex.

But i just read somewhere its not happening and "User Interface Freeze" has already begun.

Anyone know any more on this?

I thought the same myself until I realised "User Interface Freeze" doesn't mean "Artwork Freeze". User Interface more likely refers to the layout, such as how shutdown dialogs have been changed, and options on the menus are rearranged. There's still a final deadline for artwork coming up, and I believe once we pass that, that's when we'll see the new theme for Intrepid.

According to the Release Schedule (https://wiki.ubuntu.com/IntrepidReleaseSchedule) the Final Artwork Deadline is Sept 25.

i personally would like to see the theme combine black, brown, red and orange.

Canonical is making the new theme in house. It will be released with the beta. We aren't being "gutted", it is just being kept hush hush until beta.

I didnt mean we were getting gutted. I was just "sad" because I thought that there wasnt going to be a new theme for it.
