Hello. I need to use a download manager which will handle the files that Firefox attempts to save from web via Flashgot extension. Which program can I use for this task?

I find Video downloadhelper really good for grappbing flash videos.
Would that help you?

Thanks but I dont need a download extension. I need a download manager that is installed on Ubuntu and will grab all downloaded files via Firefox interface. Firefox downloads are so slow. So I need another external program to handle the web downloads. Flashgot will send the dowloaded file to the external program.

What kpeerthi suggests. Otherwise if you really must have a completely different app as a download manager you'll want something like Gwget.

+1 for kpkeerthi suggestion. You don't even need Flashgot when using DownThemAll, because it is a download manager extension and not a "hook" to a standalone download manager like Flashget.

For large files I use aria download manager.
The downloadthemall! extention can not be trusted when downloading large files (+1 gb).
In the past it would give errors when downloading such files.
I don't know about firefox integration for aria.
