I am reaching the end of my tether...

Sound juicer imports my Cds but only has the choice of 4 formats (Flac, Ogg, Wav & Speex) (when you click edit it brings up more types but there is not way of selecting them)

I then have to open Audacity and one by one export each track as a mp3 file

Then I use Amarok to import the mp3 files and transfer them to my ipod.

Does anyone know if there a probram that will rip from the CD straight to mp3 so that I can at lease only use 2 stages.

Thanks

Have you installed ubuntu-restricted-extras? I haven't used Sound Juicer in a while, but as I remember it could save the tracks as mp3s.

Bingo, I installed the extras and low and behold I can now do not only mp3 but MPeg 4.

Thank you
