Can anyone recommend to me a good CD burning program that has the capability of burning Video CD's (Aka VCD) as the one that comes with Ubuntu cannot burn such CDs :(

Thanks

You could always use DeVeDe to create your VCD/SVCD and then use Brasero to burn the resulting .iso image onto disc...

Get the latest versions of each at www.getdeb.net

a second vote for DeveDe, great software.

It is in the repository but the version on the Devede website (3.11) is more up to date, (unless the repository has been updated)

DeVeDe is awesome, great video quality and rendering. Just make sure that you select all the options like sound sync before rendering...... Because rendering takes alot of time....:(

Are you trying to make a DVD for playback with a menu or anything like that?
Keep in mind that DeVeDe will only use .png images for menu items, so you need to use Gimp to convert any .Jpeg's you download from google or whatever.
