Im trying to install the latest version of Ubuntu and its not going smoothly. I keep getting the same error, when preparing my new hard disk for install or letting Ubuntu configure my HDD:
While partitioneering it gets stuck on the ext3 patition /home, when i reboot i get this message:
Unable to detect filesystem! possible reasons are:
-The filesystem is damaged
-The filesystem is unknown to GParted
-There is no filesystem available (unformatted)
now ive read up on some forums and did found something, noticed that some users have problems with using GParted. Instead they use Fdisk to complete there partitions. Now i have no idea how to work with Fdisk and im afaid if i do move forward and try it out i might mess up my pc even more.
could anyone give me assistance with using fdisk or know another solution to my problem?
thanks in advance
