Install Ubuntu 8.04 on ipod

ok here is the trick I would like to proform. install ubuntu on my gen 5 ipod so i have a porable version to use on the road with my work laptop. but i still want the ipod to function. all i need is 10 gb or so for music and it is a 30gb ipod plenty of room.

any help or tips
