What are your opinions on this track? With much of modern meteorology computerized, I've developed a plan to combine the two. Upon completing my degree in Computer Engineering from Florida State University, I'll attempt to enter the University of Miami's Rosenstiel School of Marine and Atmospheric Science and earn my Ph.D in Meteorology and Physical Oceanography where I intend to specialize in tropical meteorology.

I, then, could conduct work utilizing my engineering degree, possibly designing and developing improved remote sensing devices, computer systems, etc. I could work strictly in the meteorology (preferably tropical) field. I could, also, enter a tenure track professorship at a large university and teach meteorology.
