I need to build this hotspot in my neighborhood to serve as many people as it can hold based on the idea of having a good(or at least desirable)connection for the hosted accounts. I'm thinking about hosting 10 people max as a wireless ISP, but I want to know what kind of internet speed I need to subscribe in order to avoid being stuck with a slow connection. Will it do with a 2Mbps/1Mbps? Which software do you recommend to build it? I've found some DIYs to build a hotspot before, but I'd like it to be as simple, easy to build as possible, and I want to make sure I can use at least a WPA encryption to keep leechers away from my wireless connection. Any suggestions are welcome.

Isn't it more of a question about hardware?

Nope,
It's more about configuring the hotspot. Setting the hardware is a no-brainer, but preparing the hotspot itself might be somehow tricky. Anyone stepping in for me?
