Hi, How many of you bought PowerDVD and Fluendo codec pack from Ubuntu store. I used to watch movies in PS3. I dont watch movies in computer. :popcorn::popcorn:

Well, it says you're in the UK in ur sig, so you don't need to buy the codecs, because the codec laws are (slightly) less ridiculous here. I'm the same, but even if i was in america, i would consider not buying it a form of protest against the stupidity of it all (if i buy a DVD, i'll play it how i want...)

that said, i think it's good that canonical are providing a way to 'go straight'

I dont about these laws. It is a brilliant and bold move by canonical to get support from commercial software companies. In future, I am expecting more commercial softwares like photo editing and other multimedia softwares to be in canonical store.

Moreover, cyberlink's PowerDVD is a great DVD player. I have used it 2 years back in my first Samsung laptop. I am highly recommend it for those who live in the countries that have complicated law.

Because you can't buy ogg theora movies in the store.

Off course, I can legally use those free codecs, so I won't buy this.
