Can't Listen to Music and Watch a Flash Movie

Hey guys,
I have a problem with what appears to be my audio server. Everytime I open or watch a youtube video, or any other flash audio for that matter, I can no longer listen to anything played locally on my computer. I'm totally stuck and the only way for me to listen to anything else is to restart the computer, which can get annoying very quickly. Any help is greatly appreciated.

It is a problem of the combination pulseaudio + flash, the following guide to fixing it system-wide hasn't failed me yet:

You can also check out the 'updated' guide he has linked there, although I followed the original one with hardy and it worked.
