Okay, well, somehow, i completely screwed my alternate input method UIM after installing SCIM. I have tried about everything to get UIM to work properly again, and no luck. So, I need to go back to the way things were before I installed SCIM. I of course would like to keep my documents and such. Can I reset my ubuntu to go back? like in windows, they have a rollback... what about wonderful linux?
Thanks

If using hardy try this
If you've just done the Quick setup (https://help.ubuntu.com/community/SCIM#Quick), you just need to go back to System>Administration>Language Support, uncheck both the support package corresponding to the language you want to remove and the box at the bottom (Input Method), then click Apply or Ok.
