I was wondering if anyone has much experience with the NTFS-3g drivers in ubuntu that allow NTFS write and how stable they are.

Im thinking of doing a lot of moving of NTFS files to re organise things and use them for storage as it is just easier coming from windows.

Are they OK at high use? Will I find any problems with them?

What are peoples experience with them?

On topic;

As you know those drivers are installed by default in Hardy.

My external HDD has a 450gb ntfs partition (it came like that, I didn't feel like reformatting it) and I have never gotten any problems with it.

It isn't uncommon that I move 50gb of files to it at the same time and I never get any problems.

So I would say they are stable.
