How come the Ubuntu forums, do not have a forum simply for discussing software, I always see threads posted asking about this and that kind of software or whats the equivalent to type threads but they are haphazardly placed, sometimes in the general forum, sometimes in community cafe. As an example to what I mean This Thread (http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=382137) in the cafe. I'm thinking it would be helpful to everyone to have a forum specifically dedicated to discussing software.

Just a thought,
Angel

But Ubuntu is software (wikipedia agrees: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Software). So all the forums are software forums.

If you mean software that don't come installed in Ubuntu, there might be ambiguity. Some software comes on kubuntu/edubuntu/xubuntu and so many buntus. Would that go into software forum? Then there is the live DVD and live CD with a different set of software on it.

I'm just referring to installable applications, perhaps then an applications forum?

My second paragraph deals with it i.e. there might be a lot of ambiguity.
