Good news, everyone! ;)
1. Unreal Tournament 3 Linux port is on the way!!! (http://icculus.org/cgi-bin/finger/finger.pl?user=icculus) There's a screenshot of it running under Ubuntu!
2. Open Source game 'Yo, Frankie!' is on the way!!! (http://www.yofrankie.org/)

Stay tuned and fasten your seatbelts! :)

EDIT: Downloaded the 'Yo, Frankie!' demo (http://download.blender.org/apricot/demo/yofrankie_demo1.2_glsl_linux32.tar.gz). Looks great!

That's awesome - I bought ut2000 and 2004 - loved the fact that there was a penguin right on the box. Been waiting for ut3, almost lost hope. Thanks for the link, perhaps gaming isn't dead yet.

The color scheme on that ut3k titlebar does look verrry familiar:guitar:

Seriously, I do not understand one thing: the UT3 Linux port delay. They camplain it's because of the PhysiX related copyright issues. I've got no PhysiX and UT3 worked surprisingly great for me in Windows. So I think they'd better release it without the PhysiX support and/or add it later.

imo it take waaaay too late, going to get Rage instead. UT3 looks right up may allay though... perhaps I'll consider it.

that doesn't say anything. All he is saying is that the linux and mac ports DO exist, its just he is still being blocked by middleware legal issues and cannot release it yet. Says nothing about a release date for the ubuntu/mac versions
