Hello! I'm starting using ubuntu 8.04
can i upgrade it if i have another pc upgraded?
i copied files to var/cache/apt/archives but nothing happened.

So I can be clear:

1) You have one computer connected to the internet and one computer not connected to the internet.

2) You want to upgrade the one not on the net.

3) You tried copying the files from the one connected to the net to the one not connected to the net, but it did not work.

Is this correct?

that's correct.
Packages are present. How can I move them from another computer?
