Hey All,

I have been using Ubuntu exclusively for the last two years. I'm currently running Hardy on my HP laptop and love it. The problem is I just returned to school, and need to have Windows installed for some of my courses :(. Normally, I would simply install XP, then install Hardy. I know how, I've done it before. But, I already have my Hardy setup the way I like and I really don't want to have to start over. Can anyone direct me to a "how to" or link that will tell me exactly how to add XP to my existing Hardy installation without screwing up my Hardy installation (obviously)? Thanks...

Install windows then use a ubuntu live cd to restore grub as windows would have written back to the mbr. Here (http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=224351) is how to restore grub.
Or you could follow this (http://apcmag.com/how_to_dual_boot_linux_and_windows_xp_linux_instal led_first.htm) tutorial.

Thanks! This looks to be exactly what I need. I appreciate the help.

I tried to install XP in Virtual Box but was unable to get my DVD drive to be recognized so that I could boot to it for the install. I'm not sure why, my DVD normally works just fine. I appreciate the response and the suggestion. :)
