alacarte

Thanks but that is to edit the menu, I want to bring it up. I took off my menu panel and replaced it with USP Gnome Menu, and added a launcher to my Cario-Dock, and I dont know what command that brings up the menu itself.

I have changed that I hit the super key for it to come up. But still, That is not what I am asking, that will not work to bring up my menu from a launcher on my dock.

What are you trying to accomplish. What is you "ultimate" goal, and explain as thoroughly as possible.

I am including a picture, hope it makes more sense this way. BUt if you look at my Dock, you will see where it says Ubuntu Menu. When I push it I want my applications menu to pop up. But I need to know what terminal command will bring up the applications menu. alacarte only brings up the edit menu, and typing in "<Alt> + <F1>" no matter how it is done will do nothing,

(side note: i have changed the hot keys to bring up my menu from <alt> + <F1> to the "superkey", but even that doesnt work).
