I just finished a tutorial on how to install Ubuntu onto a USB device so you can access the home folder like any other USB device in Windows and Mac. It's also a persistent installation. It is a very detailed guide, and most users should be able to follow it. It has screenshots for each step.

Sorry it's a bit long to post here.

Any helpful comments are very welcome.

Approved and moved to Installation & Upgrades since this post doesn't match the guidelines set forth for Tutorials & Tips at http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=677396

Looks like a very detailed guide, though, good job.
