Xubuntu problem

I'm trying to dual boot Xubuntu hardy heron on my old computer. Everything was going fine until I got the message that I have the wrong kernel, and that I need the kernel for i686 CPU. How do I solve this problem?

Kubuntu vs Xubuntu?
Xubuntu appealed to me because my computer only has 192mb of RAM and not that much harddrive space. I think i have 7gb left over. Will Kubuntu be just as lightweight ect?
