Hi guys,

I've been using HPLIP without problems for 6 months. But now, for no-reason I can fathom the b&**$y thing has defaulted to printing in Photo Quality.

No matter how many times I reset the default to Draft or normal, when I print without changing the settings manually it starts printing in Photo mode again. The settings in the HPLIP control panel all say the default is draft.

The printer is a networked HP Photosmart 2575 PSC.

Please help I can't afford the ink! :-)

Cheers

Hi

Try the following.

In the HP device manager change the print settings - quality to

controlled by "printout mode"

works for me.

hope this helps

You could try the HP toolbox from add and remove - it is a GUI similar to the one used in windows. Not sure it will solve the problem, but it's worth a try.
