SOLVED." F-Spot Photo Manager" of course. Keep trying and you shall succeed.

Hi. There are several programs able to deal with raw files. But how do I download raw files from Canon 300D to Ubuntu PC?
Thanking you in advance if you can guide me to a suitable program.

Hi there.

1. If you have a card reader. The easy way would be to remove the memory card from the camera
pop it into a card reader (internal or external). Then open up the folder, copy the images from the
memory card, and paste them to a directory/folder on your PC.

2. You could connect the camera directly to the PC via its usb cable, (it "should" auto mount)
then once again copy and paste the images to your PC's hard disk.
[However its slower doing it this way, and uses up the precious battery life of the camera
- Personally I just put the memory card directly in to the card reader]

Hope this helps mate. Take it easy

No go.
Raw files need a special program to download them from the camera. Like Canon 'File Viewer Utility' in Windows.
Thanks anyway.

Does anyone know of a Linux program able to download raw files from camera to Ubuntu?
