What happened, it usually boots up fine, and FAST!

It never boots anymore, and I got a lot of important documents on there, so how do I Get it back to work? After the "grub" thing where you have to press "esc" to get to the menu in 2 seconds, there is just a ever lasting black screen. I tried the other kernals too...

I'm sure others will be able to help you, because I'm not sure what is going on. Maybe your X-server is failing, but even then you should be able to get to a login terminal. Worst case scenario, you should be able to pull your documents off with a live CD.

Are you able to get to a recovery mode in the OS list in GRUB?

Nevermind, it works now for some odd reason. Alright.
