I have downloaded 8.04 and burnt it to a cd. when i try to load the cd from my bios it doesn't work. It just asks me to retry the boot or go back to bios. why wont my cd boot from drive?
I already have windows installed.
i am using an older computer, pentium 3 processor and an 80 G hard drive. 1/2 G or RAM.

Is your BIOS set to boot from CD first? Also, try the CD in another computer or try to at least view the files via windows to ensure that the CD was burned properly. If the CD still gives you problems, try to re-burn it at a slower rate of speed.

Will your PC boot from a Windows CD ? if so check the Ubuntu CD's again. Or move them to a different brand of cd. Worth a go.
