Hi

I'm setting up a community website and anticipate lots of people contributing to the various sections of the web site. The contributors will not be web development savvy but will have a general level of word processing expertise.

Has anybody had any experience of web editing tools that can allow lots of writers access to their specific pages without being exposed to the technical make up of a web page?

Regards
Bob

Have you thought of setting your site up as a wiki? That's probably the best bet for a multiple-contributor environment.

There's a lot of wiki software available through synaptic.

Thanks for the steer. I've had a look at wikis and think your advice is well worth pursuing. I'm going to start with Tiddlywiki (http://www.tiddlywiki.com/), to get something up and running, then move to Mediawiki (http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/MediaWiki) to get a full blown server end wiki using php and mysql.
